The Flexible Tracer Rod has been designed to easily locate underground plastic pipes ducts and hoses. It can be used in both Mains and Services (live or dead).

It consists of a stiff flexible rod made up of a 3mm diameter fibreglass core. Along the length of the core three equally spaced copper conductors are laid. This assembly is then covered with a tough smooth polypropylene coating to give a final diameter rod of about 4.5mm. The inner end is connected to a brass fitting which ensures transmission of the signal into the copper wires. The Tracer Rod is supplied on a small steel frame which is zinc plated for corrosion protection.
