The Bolt-On Towing Head has been designed as a cost-effective solution to the problem of obtaining a strong and reliable pulling attachment onto larger (400mm +) PE pipes of any wall thickness (SDR).

It is available as a sealed, or unsealed unit making it suitable for both Directional Drilling and Slip Lining applications as well as a method of pulling PE pipes during direct burial installations.

On the sealed variant the Towing Head is supplied already attached to a metre length of capped PE pipe. The unsealed variant is usually supplied as a bare unit suitable for fitting on site to a pipe section.

For applications where it is not desirable to increase the outside diameter of the pipe by even a small amount, i.e. tight fit slip lining, the Bolt-On Towing Head can be manufactured to fit inside the PE pipe and therefore not increase the outside diameter at all.
